摘要
本文旨在呈现土耳其远程开放教育体系的概况。位于埃斯基谢希尔省(Eskisehir)的阿纳多卢大学(Anadolu University)(1982年建校)是'巨型大学'之一,有100多万在籍注册远程学生。伊斯坦布尔大学(Istanbul University)和阿塔图克大学(Ataturk University)则是两所新近开设开放教育专业的公立大学。土耳其的远程开放教育招收大批开放教育学生。今天,除了住宿制高等教育以外,有300多万学生正式注册远程开放教育专业,其中相当一部分同时注册参加住宿制和远程开放教育专业的学习。从数量上讲,土耳其的远程开放教育专业某种程度上已经达到饱和状态。因此,教育机构一直重视这些专业的质量保证,并使它们跟上信息通信技术的新发展。正因为如此,土耳其远程开放教育专业的内容和教学模式很可能会变得更有活力和灵活性。
This article aims at providing an overview of the open and distance education(ODE)system in Turkey,where Anadolu University(established in 1982)in Eskisehir is one of the'mega-universities'with over one million active distance students.Istanbul University and Ataturk University are two public universities which have initiated open education(OE)programs recently.ODE has been inhabiting a large population of open education students in the country.Next to residential higher education,today,over three million students are officially registered in ODE programs with a certain number of students being enrolled simultaneously in residential and ODE programs.In Turkey ODE programs have reached to a certain level of saturation in terms of quantity.Therefore,the institutions have been investing in the quality of these programs and aligning them with the recent developments in ICT.As a result,the content and delivery modes of ODE programs in Turkey are likely to evolve into more dynamic and flexible forms.
