摘要
《吃碗茶》(Eat A Bowl Of Tea)是美国华裔作家雷庭招(Louis Chu)的唯一代表作。该小说中主人公宾来的心理刻画和性格描写与弗洛伊德的心理分析学说有异曲同工之妙,他在故事情节发展的过程中体现出本我、自我与超我之间的冲突。通过运用弗洛伊德的人格结构理论分析宾来,指出了他患上心理性阳痿以及后来用中医的药茶治愈的原因。从这一全新的角度阐释了主人公宾来与当时社会产生的矛盾与冲突及其成因,并深入地揭示了小说的主题。
Louis Chu is an important Chinese American writer.His only masterpiece is Eat A Bowl Of Tea.His description of the characters’psychology and character accords well with Freudian psychoanalytic theory,for there are similar conflicts among id,ego and superego in the plot development.This paper intends to analyze the main character-Ben Loy in the novel and reveal the reasons why he got impotent and why he can be cured by eating a bowl of tea through employing Freudian theory of human psyche.From this totally-new perspective,it has given the explanation of the causes for the conflict and clash between Ben Loy and the then society.It has also deeply explored the theme and its concerns of the novel.
