上海华商纱布交易所是近代中国棉纺织行业的交易机构,在纱厂业主的推动下得以建立。在近代化浪潮中,它不断完善组织结构和规范运营形态,组设的棉花鉴定会和评议会使棉花棉纱标准等级表的制定向制度化迈进;政府颁布的法律法规在一定程度上规范了它的成立、存在期限、交易方式等,这体现了其制度变迁包括诱致性与强制性相结合的特点。华商纱布交易所对降低棉纺行业市场风险起到了一定的促进作用,但由于长期被冠以赌博的标签,未能得到公允的评价。
Chinese Cotton Goods Exchange. LTD. , driven by the owner of the mill to be established, is the trading place of modern Chinese cotton textile industry. It has constantly been improving the organizational structure and standardizing the operating mechanism since it established. For example, the Cotton Identification Association and the Council make the cotton and cotton yarn standard grade table institutionalized. Apart from this, to a certain extent, the laws promulgated by the government determine its establishment, duration and methods of transaction. Thus, the institutional change includes the induced institutional change and the compulsory institutional change. In the whole, the establishment and institutional change of Chinese Cotton Goods Exchange. LTD. have a significant impact on reducing the market risk of the cotton textile industry. However, influenced by ideology, it has long been obscured by the cognition of gambling label.
