摘要
当音乐响起,人们聆听或歌唱,在乐声中实践或体验着他(或她)对国家、族群和文化的认同。日常歌唱如何影响人的行动、赋予行动意义、形构代际差异,同时文化认同的属性如何反作用于日常歌唱的实践,这是本研究聚焦的主题。研究比较了马来西亚老年、中年、青年、少儿四代华人群体的日常歌唱行为与文化认同,揭示两者的代际差异,探索日常歌唱与文化认同模式的相关关系;在纵的历史时代里呈现相对完整的马华老年人日常歌唱与文化认同的流变与定型;在意识、情感与认知的阐释框架里,寻思同当今文化认同理论的契合与突破。
When music plays, people listen or sing, practice and experience his(or her)national,ethnic and cultural identity in the music. How the practice of daily singing affects human action, gives meaning to action, shapes generational differences, and how cultural identity conversely influences the practice of daily singing- these are the research foci of this paper. This research compares daily singing and cultural identity of four developmental stages of M alaysian Chinese: elder, middle- aged, youth and children. The study examines the generational differences in daily singing and cultural identity of M alaysian Chinese and explores the correlation betw een these two factors. This paper presents in the vertical historical times a relatively complete flow and pattern of daily singing and cultural identity of elder M alaysian Chinese; and also discusses contemporary cultural identity theories in the framew ork of interpretation which is mediated by consciousness,emotion and cognition.
