摘要 Nuclei are complex objects yet display remarkable simplicities and regular patterns. The study of these and their origins has long been one of the twin pillars of nuclear structure research. We will discuss the behavior of atomic nuclei from this point of view. A key element will be the advantages of looking at the same data from different perspectives and of inter-relating these perspectives.
