Analysis of causes for surface collapsing defects of 20CrMnTi wires

摘要 研究了20CrMnTi线材表面翘皮缺陷微观形貌、内部组织等,分析了裂纹的形成机理,提出了预防措施。借助光学显微镜对线材缺陷横截面的形貌、组织进行检测,认为缺陷为方坯上的角横裂纹在轧制过程中形成的褶皱。通过对铸坯表面角横裂纹进行金相及SEM扫描,认为横裂纹的出现与钢种特性及结晶器保护渣熔化不良存在直接关系。 The micro-morphology and internal structure of the surface defects of 20CrMnTi wire were studied. The mechanism of crack formation was analyzed and preventive measures were proposed. The optical microscope was used to examine the morphology and microstructure of the cross-section of the wire defects,and the defects were considered as the angular cross cracks on the billet formed during the rolling process. Through the metallographic and SEM scanning of the transverse cracks on the surface of cast billets, it was believed that the appearance of transverse cracks was directly related to the properties of the steel grades and the poor melting of mold flux.
