Objective To analysis the applicable effect of single hand delivery in the venous insert ed needle puncture for children in emergency department. Methods The clinical data of 430 chii dren from emergency department of our hospital from June 201G to March 2017 were collected and analyzed. The children were divided into the single hand delivery group and two-hand delivery group according to the method of venous inserted needle puncture. The successful rate of first time puncture, time of puncture, indwelling time, incidence of complication, treatment compli ance, and successful rate of rescue and incidence of disputes were compared between the two groups. Results The differences of successful rate of first time puncture, time of puncture, inci dence of complication, treatment compliance, successful rate rescue and incidence of disputes be tween the two groups were statistically significant (P〈0.05). The difference of indwelling time between the two groups was not statistically significant (P〉0.05). Conclusion The single handdelivery was better than the two hand delivery for children in emergency department. The single hand delivery method can improve the successful rate of first time puncture, the successful rate rescue, and decrease the incidence of complications and disputes. It is helpful for children to co operate with the treatment and promote the recovery of children and worth for clinical application and promotion.
