摘要
藏医学系列挂图(藏名"曼唐",Smanthang)是藏族人民在公元17世纪编绘创造的一套医学教学工具,也是难得的文物、艺术珍品。全套共79幅,是五世达赖喇嘛时期(1617—1682年),由其摄政王第司桑杰嘉措所主持编绘的。十三世达赖喇嘛时期(1876—1933年)在复制这一套曼唐时,增加为80幅。20世纪末,著名藏医学家强巴赤列撰文提出,在罗布林卡的西藏文物管理委员会所收藏的此第80幅挂图是第司本人所主持绘制的,因为在此幅挂图的背面有第司本人所题诗句14偈,并加盖了他个人印章为证。然而,迄今世界上包括中国国内所出版的所有这套画册(其中就有西藏文管会所主编的一套),凡有第80幅者,均未能证实其为第司本人之作。此悬案仍有待深入探索。
The Tibetan Medical Painting （Sman thang ） is a set of medical teaching tool created and drawn by the Tibetan people in the 17th century AD, which is also a rare cultural relic and art treas- ure. A total of 79 paintings were created during the reign of the 5th Dalai Lama （1617 -1682 ） and were in- augurated, designed and sponsored by his regent （Sde srid）, Sangye Gyatso （Sangs rgyas rgya mtsho）. During the reign of the 13th Dalai Lama （1876 -1933）, this Set of Tibetan Medical Painting was increased to 80 plates when copied. At the end of the 20th century, Jampa Trinley （Byams pa ＇phrin las）, a famous Tibetan scholar of Tibetan medicine wrote that the 80th painting collected by the Tibetan Cultural Relics Management Committee at Norbulingka was created by Sangye Gyatso himself, evidenced by his 14 slokas of Tibetan verses and his personal seal at the back of this plate. However, the 80th painting in all Set of Tibetan Medical Painting published in China so far, including the one by Tibetan Cultural Relics Management Committee itself, all failed to prove that it was indeed created by Sde srid himself. This pending case still needs further investigation.
