摘要
现代大学通识教育在其发展进程中显现出三个特征:一是目的的多元性,即要求通识教育培养现代公民,帮助学生养成理性,使学生具有广博的学识和深厚的文化修养;二是课程内容文理交融;三是实行核心课程以及选修课程和必修课程相结合的方法。未来通识教育发展趋势主要有五点表现:其一,受科学技术发展、就业形势的影响以及个人文化修养提升的需要,通识教育将会受到更加广泛的重视;其二,通识教育更加注重"全人"的培养;其三,通识教育的理念将在专业教育中得到越来越多的体现;其四,研读经典依然是通识教育的主要方法之一;其五,通识教育会对任课教师的品德、学问和教学能力提出更高的要求。
There are three characteristics in the development of general education in modern universities,which are the multiple aims,blending of arts and sciences,integration of core courses,compulsory courses and optional courses.The trends of future general education are shown as follows.Firstly,general education is paid more attention because of the development of science and technology,the change of employment and the improvement of the cultural personality;secondly,the education of＂whole man＂is focused;thirdly,the ideas of general education get more involved in professional education;fourthly,the reading of classics is still one of the main methods of general education;fifthly,the teachers of general education should meet more challenges in the aspects of personal virtues,learning and the teaching abilities.
