摘要
中动构式是一种心理表征,具有"主动形式,但包含被动意义",这种"整体大于部分"的"完型"过程需要激活转喻的思维方式。中动句的转喻机制在于NP的"临近性"和VP的"中间性",其构式义与词汇义之间的相互压制,使之建立心理通道,从而形成"新义"。鉴于中动构式压制需要调动与之相关的背景知识,生活经验和知识的传授对于课堂英语教学是必要的;中动构式应该纳入语态教学当中。
The middle sentence is a mental representation,"active in form but passive in meaning"; in process of achieving the"gestalt"or"the whole is more than the sum of the parts",metonymy,as a mode of thinking,activates. The mechanism of construction coercion in the middle sentence goes to the"contiguity"in NP and"betweenity"in VP; as the interrelated coercion between construction meaning and lexical meaning exists and mental access gets available,a new sentence meaning is obtained. Regarding the fact that corresponding background knowledge is needed for successful construction coercion in middle sentence,it is necessary to teach students day-to-day experiences in classroom English teaching; middle construction should be accepted into English voice teaching.
