Synthesis and Properties of Polyurethane Hydrogels Based on 100% Renewably-Sourced Poly(trimethylene ether) Glycol

摘要 采用100%可再生聚三亚甲基醚(PO3G)和聚乙二醇等与1,6-己基二异氰酸酯(HDI)反应合成了不同PO3G含量的聚氨酯(PU)水凝胶。利用傅里叶转变红外光谱(FT-IR)、差示扫描量热(DSC)、动态热机械分析(DMA)、流变仪、扫描电镜(SEM)和力学性能测试等手段研究了PO3G含量对PU水凝胶结构与性能的影响。结果表明:随着PO3G质量分数的降低,PU的玻璃化转变温度升高,PU软段的结晶能力提高,PU的吸水溶胀度增加,初级溶胀行为由Fickian扩散转向non-Fickian扩散,PU水凝胶的储能模量和损耗模量均降低。随着PO3G质量分数增加,PU及其水凝胶的拉伸强度均显著增加。 A new kind of polyurethane(PU)hydrogels have been prepared based on 100% renewablysourced poly(trimethylene ether)glycol(PO3 G).The formed PU hydrogels could meet the requirement of sustainability and development of polyurethane materials,and also broaden the application of 100%renewably-sourced PO3 G.A series of PU hydrogels with different PO3 G mass fractions were synthesized by a two-step process.Firstly,the reaction of PO3 G and poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)with 1,6-diisocyanatohexane(HDI)produced —NCO groups terminated prepolymer,which reacted with 1,4-butanediol further and provided the PU hydrogel.The effects of PO3 G content on the structure and properties of PU hydrogels were studied by Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer(FT-IR),Differential Scanning Calorimeter(DSC),Dynamic Thermomechanical Analysis(DMA),rheometer,Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)and measurement of mechanical properties.The results showed that with the decrease of PO3 G mass fraction from 80%to 0,the glass transition temperature of PU increased from-55 ℃to-29 ℃,and the crystallinability of soft segments in the PU was enhanced.The swelling ratio of PU increased from 5%to 394%,and the primary swelling behavior of PU hydrogels transited from the Fickian to non-Fickian diffusion.Both the storage modulus and loss modulus of PU hydrogels decreased due to the fact that the water absorption ratio of PU increased when PO3 G mass fraction decreased.However,the tensile strength of PUs and PU hydrogels increased significantly with the increase of PO3 Gcontent in the PU.
