摘要
艾丽丝·门罗和伊恩·麦克尤恩两位著名作家均以情节简单、短小精悍,故事却震撼人心的作品著称。运用互文性理论比照门罗的《孩子的游戏》和麦克尤恩的《蝴蝶》,发现二者在运用高超的叙述技巧刻画哥特气息的场景、塑造哥特式人物以及构建哥特式主题等方面具有惊人的相似性,并通过对两个文本的对照解读,唤起人们对"排他性"的毁灭性后果以及人内心的焦虑、欲望和精神创伤的根源等问题的关注和探寻。
Both Alice Munro and Ian Mc Ewan are well-known writers,who created shocking and moving short stories famous for their simple but terse and forceful plots. An intertextual reading of Munro＇s Child＇s Play and Mc Ewan＇s Butterflies can significantly reveal the fact that both works demonstrate surprising similarities in the use of the ingenious narrative technique,to depict scenes full of Gothic atmosphere,to create Gothic characters and to establish Gothic themes.The comparison between these two texts will also call for people＇s attention and exploration on such issues as the destructive results from people＇s exclusivity and the source of people＇s inner anxiety,desire and trauma.
