智能手机等移动计算设备已经日渐普及化,这些设备已经成为人们日常通讯的主要工具,同时也是人们浏览和处理信息的主要设备之一。这类设备的屏幕通常较小,当浏览和处理的信息量较大时,人们就需要频繁地滚动屏幕:这样就会增加人们的操作负担,降低交互绩效,同时容易造成手疲劳。本文提出了一种基于Android系统的自适应滚屏技术。该技术在信息以线性方式排列的窗口中,可以智能判断信息被浏览过的区域,并将该区域中的信息自动往上滚屏隐藏,而将未被浏览过的后续信息自动在设备窗口中加载显示。以手机联系人的批量选择为操作任务的实验结果显示,该技术相对于传统的操作模式来说,其交互绩效有了显著的提高。实验结果同时还显示,在双手操作的模式下,自适应滚屏技术作用区域占手机屏幕顶部区域75%及更高比例时,操作效率最高。
Computing mobile devices, e.g., smart mobile phones, have been common in our daily life. These devices are essential for communication and information scanning and processing. They are typically with little screens: we need to scroll the windows repeatedly when scanning or processing large block of information; this causes more operation burden, lowers interactive performance, and is hand-fatigue prone. This paper presents an adaptive scrolling technique for Android mobile devices. The proposed technique automatically determines which part of information, which is linearly arranged in a window, has been scanned or processed. And then the technique scrolls the information upwards and hides it, and loads the following part of information in the window. We conducted an experiment to compare the proposed technique and the traditional operation method. The experimental task is to select multiple items for a given mobile contact list. The experimental results show that the proposed technique achieves significantly higher interactive performance, and it works most efficiently in top 75% proportion or more of the screen when the subjects performed the experimental bimanually.
