摘要
周人为维护王朝统治、掠取江汉流域的青铜等材料,十分重视在南方的经营;楚人在这一区域由弱到强,不断发展,对周的统治和利益逐渐产生影响,因而受到周王朝的讨伐。《大雅·崧高》记载分封申国,是宣王加强南国控制的措施;《小雅·采芑》记载周人伐楚,与楚人不臣服于周且逐渐掌控汉水流域青铜运输之路有密切关系;《王风·扬之水》所载平王戍申、吕、许,应与楚人北上有关,也是周王控守整个南方区域的防御性手段。
The Zhou Dynasty,in order to maintain their rule and appropriating the bronze mineral of Jianghan Basin,put great emphasis on their governance in the south;people of Chu had developed in this region and gradually threatened the rule of the Zhou Dynasty,thus they were attacked by Zhou.From the Song Gao of Da Ya,Emperor Xuan enfeoffed here as Shen to strengthen its control of the South;in Cai Qi of Xiao Ya another reason for the attack refers to the disobedience of people of Chu and their gradual domination of bronze transportation in this basin;according to Yang Zhi shui of Wang Feng,Shen,Lǔand Xu was garrisoned by Emperor Ping,which might relate to people of Chu going northward,meanwhile it was a defense for Zhou to keep the entire southern region under control.
