摘要
根据法国叙事学家热拉尔·热奈特对叙事视角的分类,对爱尔兰著名作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯的长篇小说《尤利西斯》的叙事角进行分析,着重分析了小说中内聚焦叙事的艺术特征。在分析小说内聚焦叙事的特点时,根据苏联文艺理论家巴赫金的复调小说理论中的"多声部"概念,阐述小说内聚焦叙事下三个人物斯蒂芬、布卢姆和莫莉运用个性语言展现各自独立意识的多种声音共现的多声部现象。阐述了三个人物的声音所展示的在逆境中的强烈生命意识。他们的声音表现了他们各自为改变生存环境所展现出来的强大的生命能量与欲求,斯蒂芬的声音表达了对英国殖民统治和罗马天主教压迫的愤懑与抗争;莫莉的声音表达了她对传统婚姻伦理的挑战;布卢姆的声音表达了与命运抗争过程中的不屈和坚忍以及苦难中对理想世界的向往。
According to the classification of narrative points of view by the French narratologist,Gerard Genette,this paper analyzes the narrative points of view of the long novel Ulysses by the well-known Irish writer,James Joyce,mainly dwelling on the artistic features of the internal focalized narration in the novel.In analyzing the characteristics of the internal focalized narration in the novel,in light of the notion,＂multi-voicedness＂,in the polyphonic novel theory of Bakhtin,the Soviet theorist of literature and art,this paper discusses the multi-voicedness of the co-existent voices of the three characters,Stephen,Bloom and Molly,who present their independent consciousness in their individualized speech in the internal focalized narration of the novel.This paper expounds the strong life consciousness exhibited by the voices of the three characters in adversity.Their voices demonstrate that each of them reveals his or her strong life energy and desire to improve his or her living environment.Stephen＇s voice expresses his indignation and struggle against the British colonial rule and the oppression of the Roman Catholic Church.Molly＇s voice expresses her challenge against the traditional marital ethics.Bloom＇s voice expresses his unyieldingness and toughness in his struggle against his fate,and his yearning for an ideal world in misery.
