Objective To observe the clinical effect of Baixiaomoxibustion( magnetic moxibustion with moxa) based on acupoints and meridian systemin treatment of kidney-deficiency type backache and related nursing management, and to summarize related nursing management. Methods To tally 110 patients with kidney-deficiency type backache were assigned to the control group and the observation group, with 55 cases in each group. Patients of both two groups received routine treatment and nursing, and those in observation group were given Baixiaomoxibustion based on acupoints and meridian system. The visual analogue scale on pain, clinical effect and satisfactory degree of patients were evaluated and compared between two groups. Results The VAS score was decreased in both two groups after intervention, and was lower in the observation group than that of controls( P〈0. 05). The markedly efficacy rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(87. 27% vs. 67. 27%,P〈0. 05). The satisfactory degree of patients in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(98. 18% vs.85. 45%,P〈0. 05). Conclusion Baixiaomoxibustion based on acupoints and meridian systemis potentially effective to relieve the pain degree of patients with kidney-deficiency type backache.
