Objective To observe the safety of eye surgeries for patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Methods The clinical data of 29 cases with HIV or AIDS from 2013 to 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. All cases received eye surgery. The efficacy and cell counting of CD4+T-lymphocyte were observed and analyzed. Results After surgery, the eye wound healing was first intention in 27 cases, and incisions cure were postponed in 2 cases. No severe complication or opportunistic infection occurred during peroperative period. The cell counting of CD4+ T-lymphocyte were not changed. No severe complication or occupational exposure occurred. Conclusion The medical practice standard should be enforced, operation time is based on the cell counting of CD4+ T-lymphocyte and chronic health evaluation.
