摘要
《三宝太监西洋记》是明代的一部神魔小说,其作者展现了多姿多彩的域外番国浮世图。这些番国的建构既具有现实因子,也具有幻想虚构特质。作者能够在尊重历史史实基础上对域外番国进行一定程度的改造和化用,使其形象呈现出不同风貌,也彰显了大明王朝当时的社会危机。但作者的动机不在于描绘这些形象,而是为了缅怀逝去的繁荣景象,期望内忧外患的晚明王朝能够重振雄风,实现国家的繁荣与富强。
"Eunuch Sanbao's Journey to the West" was a magic novel in Ming dynasty. The author presented a colorful picture of foreign countries. The picture of these countries was both realistic and fictional. The author transformed the picture of foreign countries to a certain extent on the basis of respecting historical facts, so as to make their images looked different and reflected the great social crisis in the Ming dynasty. But the author's motive was not to portray these images, but to remember the lost prosperity,and to hope that it could restore its prosperity.
