摘要
杨起元为明万历时期王学运动中最重要的学者之一。他是王学中泰州学派罗汝芳晚年的付法弟子,并在罗汝芳去世后严格地履行这一职责,但这一身份的由来却较为可怪。杨起元身任教育官职,刊行不少科考用书,在明末乃至清初都流行和影响甚为广远。杨起元虽然继承王学尤其是泰州学派罗汝芳的学问,但他也被认为传承了岭南学术的若干风格。其中,突出表现在对佛、道诸宗教以及民间信仰采取极度的兼收并蓄,强调三教合一,在一些信仰问题上表现得十分虔诚,并且身为科举考试官员也毫不避讳其佛教信仰,甚至因此遭来一些学人的诟病。
Yang Qiyuan was one of the most influential scholars among Wang Yang-ming's multiple followers during Wanli period in Ming Dynasty. Yang was the most orthodox disciple of Luo Rufang who was a master of the Taizhou School,by Luo's selection for himself before his death in 1588. Yang performed very well for this task,however,we could find that this identity for Yang came out very strangely. Yang had been worked as a statesman in the National Education Department,and he published lots of books for the national examination which were very popular even in the early Qing period. Although Yang succeeded Wang Yang-ming's,especially the Taizhou School's doctrines,he also succeeded a lot of doctrines which belonged to his motherland,southern China,or usually called Lingnan Region,which seems especially obvious when we are considering Yang's religion beliefs. Yang not only could bear with the other religion beliefs,but it seemed that he believed all religions he encountered very piously,even when he was a statesman for national education and examination which meant he should only obey Confucianism. Absolutely,there came out various critics from other various scholars.
