摘要
佛教有自己的心灵哲学这已得到了西方哲学的普遍认可，但对如何用标准而规范的心灵哲学框架爬梳其要点、重组其结构、揭示其实质和精要、挖掘其现代意义，却莫衷一是。佛教心灵哲学的核心是一心二门论，围绕它建构起了博大精深的、即使与今日西方心灵哲学相比也毫不逊色的思想体系。其内容和方法相对于世问心灵哲学来说，既有其共性，又有其个性。所关注的许多问题和思想即使在今天仍有闪光之处。其创新及尚未被超越之处在于，它有三大重要“发现”，即发现了隐藏于常见心理现象之后的真心，比西方人所说的无意识还要深细的末那、阿赖耶识乃至第九识、第十识，具有现象学性质的真心和妄心。它对广泛心灵哲学问题尤其是真心、末那识和阿赖耶识等深层心灵样式、相状、特点和功能的探讨，既展示了它的深邃和服务于学理及人生解脱的双重意义，又为当代心灵哲学对心灵的本体论等根本性问题的进一步探究提供了思想源泉和灵感。
It is widely acknowledged that Buddhism has its own philosophy of mind. Nonetheless, it is often debated how to reformulate the Buddhist philosophy of mind within the framework of Western philosophy of mind so as to grasp its focal points and to reveal its nature. As far as I am concerned, the core of Buddhist philosophy of mind is the doctrine of ＂one mind, two aspects＂ on which a much more complex and sophisticated thought system of mind than its Western rival is centered. The Buddhist philosophy of mind shares both commonalities and differences with non-religious theories of philosophy of mind in their contents and methodologies, derived from which many questions and ideas are enlightening. Especially the ＂three great findings＂ are original, namely ＂true mind＂ hidden in psychological phenomena that we are consciously aware of; ＂Manas-vijnana＂ and ＂Alaya-vijnana＂, even the ＂ninth consciousness＂ and ＂tenth consciousness＂ which are much more refined than unconsciousness introduced by Freud; and true mind and false mind with phenomenological characteristics. By analyzing general questions of philosophy of mind such as modes, characteristics, and functions of mind, etc., Buddhist philosophy of mind not only demonstrates its depth in serving a dual purpose of truth pursuit and moksha, but offers directions for further study on fundamental questions like ontology of the mind.
