摘要
约翰·S·布鲁贝克在《高等教育哲学》中专章讨论了"高等教育为谁服务",文章由这个话题引申而来,结合大学职能演变和高等教育发展历程,着力厘清高等教育服务对象变化历程。随着大学职能的不断演变,大学的服务对象逐渐多元化;随着高等教育由精英化向大众化过渡,大学的服务对象也愈加宽泛化;随着高等教育从社会边缘向社会中心转移,大学的服务对象也更加社会化。同时,围绕习近平总书记的高等教育思想,可以看出,宏观意义上我国高校的服务对象有共同性——服务国家。具体而言,我国高校的服务对象还受所处地理位置、社会经济发展水平、学校类型定位等诸多因素影响而有差异。
John S. Brubacher discussed in his book On the Philosophy of Higher Education about “who does higher education serve for？”. This paper is derived from this topic and is to clarify the changing objects that higher education serves for. With the evolution of university functions, the service objects of universities are gradually diversified; With the transition from elitism to popularization of higher education, the service objects of university are wider and wider; As higher education shifts from social periphery to social center, the service objects of university are more socialized. According to General Secretary Xi Jinping＇s idea on higher education, the purpose of service objects of China’s universities, in general, are common-- to serve the country. While in particular, the service objects are affected by many factors, such as location, social and economic development and the type of school, etc.
