摘要
百岁学者王承绪先生,循"返本开新、明体达用"之原则,承前启后、合作主编新中国成立以来第一部《比较教育》教材,交流中外,翻译西方教育名著;组织撰写《比较教育学史》、《中外教育比较史纲》等里程碑式著作,率先开展比较高等教育研究,为中国比较教育的发展做出了两大贡献:奠定必要的知识基础、建构基本的研究方法体系。王先生丰富的学术成就、深远的学术影响,根基于他鞠躬尽瘁的报国精神、以学术为业的学问志趣以及物我两忘的人生境界。
Wang Chengxu,a nearly 100-year-old professor,following the principles of 'creating by returning to the origin,making practical use of truth','inheriting the classic ideas and forging ahead',translated a lot of famous western education books,edited the first textbook of Comparative Education with other famous scholars,edited many creative writings such as History of Comparative Education,Short History of Comparative Studies of Chinese and Foreign Education,and initiated the sub-discipline of Comparative Higher Education,by which professor Wang laid the knowledge and methodology foundations for Chinese comparative education.Professor Wang's great academic scholarship benefits from his patriotism,taking science as a vocation and the rare wisdom of life.
