This paper describes the relationship between the basic electricity consumption and the maximum demand. Managing the maximum demand is an effective means of reducing the basic electricity consumption. The maximum demand control situation and technical key points are introduced. The advanced nature of the maximum demand control technology is described through the substation failure.
