摘要
"扬州八怪"因其对"君子不言利"传统的挑战、对"淳雅含蓄"主流诗风的游离、对"平和简远"绘画审美时流的抗争以及对"匀圆丰满"馆阁体书法的改造等行为,在近二三百年来常被认定为不合礼教的异端。实际上他们心怀天下,非常关心社会民生;注重操守,固穷守志,时刻不忘追求品行的高洁;谨守君臣、父子、夫妇、兄弟、朋友等人伦关系;遵循并弘扬礼教所重视的忠孝节义、礼义廉耻等行为规范。他们都是谨守封建礼教的传统文人。
The Eight Eccentric Painters of Yangzhou,for its challenge to the tradition of "a gentleman being not focus on profiting",the dissociation from the mainstream poetic style of "elegance and implicity",the resistance to the aesthetic current of "peace and simplicity",the transformation to the Guangeti calligraphy of "round and full"as well as other acts,was often regarded as a heresy of substandard rituals in the recent two or three hundred years. In fact,they are very concerned about the people's livelihood in their country; pay attention to ethics and keep in mind the pursuit of noble character in poverty; be strict with ethic relationships of monarchs and subject,fathers and sons,couples,brothers,friends and so on; follow and promote the behavioral norms of loyalty,filial piety,chastity and righteousness,courtesy,justice,integrity and sense of shame which are proposed by feudal ethics and rites. They are all traditional literati who keep their feudal ethics and rites.
