"把党的政治建设摆在首位"、确立政治建设在党的建设中的统领地位,是以习近平同志为核心的党中央对党的建设作出的重大实践和理论创新。突出政治建设的统领地位,不仅是党在长期历史实践中的优良传统和政治优势,更是推进全面从严治党向纵深发展的必然要求。加强党的政治建设,必须坚持党中央权威和集中统一领导;尊崇党章,严肃党内政治生活;完善落实民主集中制的各项制度;营造良好的党内政治文化,净化党内政治生态;提升党员干部政治觉悟和政治能力。
To give top priority to the political building of the Party and establish the overarching principle of political work in Party building is a major practical and theoretical innovation of CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. Stressing the overarching principle of political work is not only Party's fine tradition and political advantage in the long history,but also an inevitable requirement of promoting full and rigorous governance over the Party. To strengthen the political building of the Party,the following should be done: uphold the Central Committee's authority and centralized,unified leadership; hold the Party Constitution in great reverence and tighten intra-Party political life;create a good political culture and purify the political ecosystem within the Party; strengthen political awareness and political ability of Party officials.
