摘要
张恨水的小说继承了中国文学的三大传统,诗词歌赋、史传叙述和戏曲白话小说。张恨水的小说,在"五四"和二三十年代普遍欧化的新文学大背景下,自始至终运用中国民族所熟悉的方式讲述中国人的故事,坚持了中国文学的民族传统。张恨水的创作是将中国文学传统带入现代的桥梁。张恨水的小说虽然受到新文化的批判,但他正是胡适的白话文学思想的正宗实践者;张恨水的小说虽然受到左翼革命文学的批判,但其创作却正践行着瞿秋白等的革命文学思想。张恨水的小说是民族的,也是民权的。其可能不是新文学的经典,但却是民族文学的经典,更确切地说是汉民族文学的经典。
Zhang Henshui＇s novels inherit the three traditions of Chinese literature^poems, historical narration and vernacular novels. Under the background of the new literature that was generally Europeanized in the May 4th Movement and the 1920s and 1930s,His novels persist in using the familiar ways of the Chinese nation to tell Chinese stories along with the national tradition of Chinese literature. His creation is regarded as a bridge between traditional Chinese literature and modem times. Although the novels are criticized by the new culture stream, they are just the authentic practitioners of Hu Shih＇s vernacular literature thoughts. Although the novels are criticized by the left-wing revolutionary literature, his works are practicing Qu Qiubai＇s revolutionary literature thoughts. Zhang Hen-shui＇s novels are national and democratic. It may not be a classic of new literature,but it is a classic of national literature, or rather a classic of Han nationality literature.
