摘要
今天的"廖"姓,源自于先秦时期三个以"蓼"为名的古国。拟以"姓氏"义为基本单位,对它不同的历时层面的有关用字进行描写。文献搜索范围限定于甲骨文、金文、十三经和二十四史。希望通过对这些字料的分析,全面、具体地展示姓氏{廖}(1)在不同历史时期用字记录的情况和字词关系。
The family name＂Liao＂ is derived from three ancient countries named ＂ Polygoni＂ in the pre-Qin Dynasty. We use the ＂ last name＂ as the basic unit to describe the different diachronic aspects of it. The scope of literature search is limited to oracle,bronze inscription,Thirteen Classics of Confucianism and Twenty-four Histories. Through the analysis of these characters,people would understand the meanings of the word Liao and the relationship of the surname { liao} in different historical periods.
