Correct design and correct selection are the key points for the safe operation of pressure vessel and pipeline. In this article,the type of flange,sealing surface pattern of flange and the principle of flange sealing are introduced. In addition,design and selection of the flange are summarized. Thus it would provide help and support for technicians with the designing work.
