文章介绍了剑桥大学的惠普尔科学史博物馆,从建筑历史、兴办理念、收藏研究、展陈特色及公众服务等方面——陈述,向读者揭示了这座属于剑桥大学科学史与科学哲学系的博物馆如何启发大众对于科学的兴趣,发挥自身辅助教学的功能,助力剑桥大学成为全球的科学中心.
The article introduced the Whipple Museum of the History of Science in University of Cambridge on aspect of its history of architecture, the establishment idea, the collection and research, the characteristics of exhibition and the public service. The article also tried to reveal how the museum helps the university to become a global science center by inspiring the public’s interest in science and its role of auxiliary teaching.
