摘要
晚明,面对贵州水西土司相继出现叛乱及宣慰使绝嗣的情形,明廷并未按惯例对其进行改流,而是在贵州巡抚朱燮元的主持下,分别采取了削地贬秩和分土世官的处置措施。说明晚明水西土司改流的条件尚未成熟。水西土司内部独特的政治制度,及土目汉把维护土司统治的意愿使改流面临巨大阻力;而内忧外患、财政匮乏等困境的制约令明廷无暇亦无力改流。因此,朱燮元在水西土司改流问题上的举措乃审时度势之举,实为一种渐进式改流,意在逐步削弱水西土司实力、瓦解土司内部制度、增强卫所实力的基础上实现彻底改流。
In late Ming Dynasty, rebellion and without offspring occurred in Shuixi chieftain of Guizhou. However, the central authorities didn＇ t shift power from Shuixi chieftain to Han official by convention. Zhu Xieyuan, the magistrate of Guizhou, took two special measures. One was cede territory and demotion, the other was divide territory and investiture. It was showed that the opportunityof Power-shifting had not yet ripe. The Power-shifting became difficult for special political systems of Shuixi and basic chieftains＇ reluctance. The central government couldn＇ t complete Power-shifting because domestic trouble and foreign invasion and financial difficulty. Therefore, Zhu Xieyuan assessedthesituations and took above measures, which were a gradual measure of Power-shifting by way of weakening Shuixi chieftain＇ s strength, collapsing its internal systems and enhancing the strength of Wei-suo.
