This paper makes a thorough analysis of Keigo Higashino's novel Walking in the White Night from the perspective of feminist criticism, the process in which the heroine redeem herself from her fate like a doll in a manner of despieability and evilness, its essence is still that the requirements of society for women and inherent customs and rules are the premise of her self-redemption. By building a near extreme image of modern women, the writer hopes to subvert the female image of silently suffering and devoting to create women of "real strength" with dependent personality and economic status, but in a male-dominated society, the independent image of women is just pure illusion; they are still trapped in their tragic fate like a "the other".
