摘要
巨无霸指数作为空间价格指数的范畴,因指标构造的简洁性和对外发布的频繁性,自创建以来在各国货币汇价评估中发挥重要参考作用。但由于篮子产品的单一性,其在各国快餐业发展中的代表性和可比性饱受争议,其对各国汇率的评估结果与一国经济发展实情存在不小差距。为此,结合各国经济发展水平,对传统的巨无霸指数进行修正,拟合出反映各国汇率"公平价值"的最佳拟合线,结果显示,巨无霸汉堡在经济发展水平较低国家的售价普遍低于发达国家的美元标价,与实际情况相符。
As a category of spatial price index, the big mac index plays an important role in the national currency exchange rate assessments because of its simple construction and frequent release. However, due to the single product of the basket, its representativeness and comparability is controversial in the development of various coun- tries＇ fast food industry, and its results are quite different from the fact of a country＇ s real economic development. Therefore, combining with the economic development of countries, the paper modifies the traditional big mac index, and produces the best fitting line that reflects the ＂fair value＂ of the national exchange rate. The results show that the price of the big mac in the poorer countries is generally lower than that in the richer countries, which is consist- ent with the fact.
