Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture and massage on pain, lower extremity function and he- modynamics in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods : 90 cases of lumbar disc herniation were selected as the research object. Using random number table method is divided into 45 cases of control group : to the drug + waist trac- tion and other conventional treatment. 45 cases of observation group: in the conventional treatment based on the use of acupuncture combined with massage therapy. System observation indicators : ① pain; ② Lower limb function improve- ment; ③ Hemodynamics.Resuhs : ① After 1 month of treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were significantly different from those before treatment ( P 〈0.05 ). The VAS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P 〈0.05 ) ; ② There was significant difference between the two groups ( P 〈0.05 ). The angle of straight leg raising in the observation group was significantly improved ( P 〈0.05 ). ③ The hemodynamics of the limb common arteries and the popliteal artery in the two groups were improved compared with those before treatment, and the hemodynamics of the limb were significantly improved in the control group (P 〈0.05 ).Conclusion: Acupuncture and massage can effectively improve the pain of patients with lumbar disc herniation, limb hemodynamics, increase blood flow, conducive to the recovery of lower limb dysfunction.
