摘要
描绘女性生活情态的"仕女图"在唐宋时期已经成熟,图中的女子或赏花,或戏犬,或吹箫,或抚琴,或凝思远眺,或顾影自怜,却从未出现读书情状。明代中叶之后,随着出版文化的繁荣和女性受教育程度的提高,女性阅读活动增多,社会对女性的审美也从对容貌品德的狭隘欣赏转向对才华气质的推崇。此时,以女性阅读为主题的仕女画大量涌现。本文借助风格分析与图像学的方法,对明清时期的若干女性读书图进行解读,由此揭示出明清社会的男性对才女文化及女性阅读所持的观念变迁及其内在对立。
The "picture of beauties" depicted women's life had already matured in Tang and Song Dynasties. In the drawings, the images of women are either looking at flowers, or playing with dogs, or play xiao ("簫") or guqin ("古琴") , or looking into the distance and being lost in thought, or being narcissisfc, but never being at reading. After the middle of Ming Dynasty, with a thriving publishing culture and female's education, women spent more time on reading, resulting in the aesthetics on women turning from a narrow view of looks and moral character to the praise of their talent and disposition. At that time, there appeared a great number of images of female in reading. This paper explains some of such drawings in Ming and Qing Dynasties with the methods of style analysis and image studies to reveal concept changes and the inner contradiction of male towards talented women and their reading activities in the then society.
