PMCAP:一种区分应用类型的协议相关组播性能评价指标体系制定框架

摘要 RFC2324和RFC3918定义了IP组播性能评价指标和测量方法,却未能反映不同组播应用类型对性能评价指标的敏感情况,未区分不同网络协议所属层次,不利于反映实际组播应用性能情况。针对实时交互型、实时非交互型、非实时型三种组播应用类型,提出一种区分应用类型的协议相关方法,构建IP组播性能评价指标体系。首先根据相关标准给出性能评价指标的定义,其次分析不同类型组播应用对不同指标的敏感情况,最后提出了区分应用类型的协议相关组播性能评价指标体系。结果表明,该指标体系既能满足不同应用个性化指标选取的需求,又能有效应对应用多样性和动态性带来的困扰。 RFC 2324 and RFC 3918 define the IP multicast performance evaluation metrics and measure methods,and however,could not reflect the sensitivity of different multicast application,to the performance evaluation index and distinguish the hierarchy of different network protocols,and this is not conducive to the actual performance of multicast applications.For the three types of real-time interactive,real-time non-interactive and non-real-time multicast applications,a protocol-related method to distinguish application types is proposed,and meanwhile,the performance evaluation index system of IP multicast also constructed.Firstly,the definition of performance evaluation index is given in accordance with the relevant standards.Then,the sensitivity of different multicast applications to different metrics is analyzed.Finally,an evaluation index system for protocol-related multicast performance is proposed,thus to distinguish application types.The experiment results indicate that the proposed index system can meet the needs of personalized index selection for different applications,and effectively cope with the problems caused by the diversity and dynamic nature of applications.
