Based on the 8 nutrient indexes (moisture, pH value, organic matter, available nitrogen, total phosphorus, available phosphorus, total potassium and total nitrogen) of 25 soil samples in the tropical crop farming area of Ruili City, soil nutrients were evaluated by principal component analysis (PCA)and systematic cluster analysis. The results showed that the comprehensive scores of soil samples were between -1.169 and 0.793. The 4 soil samples with the highest fertility accounted for 16.0% of the total samples, and the comprehensive score was Y ∈ [0.599 2,0.793 4]. The 9 soil samples with higher fertility accounted for 36.0% of the total samples, and the comprehensive score was Y ∈ [0.111 3,0.360 2].The 9 soil samples with lower fertility accounted for 36.0% of the total samples ,and the comprehensive score was Y ∈ [-0.354 4,-0.092 7]. The 3 soil samples with the lowest fertility accounted for 12.0% of the total samples, and the comprehensive score was Y∈ [- 1.169 1, -0.769 7].In view of the large difference in the soil fertility of the tropical crop farming area, the compound fertilizer and organic fertilizer should be properly applied, combining with the analysis results and the need of crops, in order to promote the soil fertility level.
