摘要
本研究选取400名非英语专业低年级大学生为研究受试,采用Pearson相关分析和回归分析,对受试词汇广度知识和深度知识与大学英语四级听力理解总成绩、短对话成绩、长对话成绩、短文理解成绩、复合式听写成绩之间的关系进行了实证研究。研究表明:词汇广度知识和深度知识与听力理解总成绩及各部分成绩之间均呈现不同程度的显著相关关系;词汇广度知识和深度知识分别能够解释听力理解总成绩差异的12.0%和23.7%,词汇广度知识和词汇深度知识均能在不同程度上解释听力理解各部分成绩差异。论文最后对大学英语听力教学提出相关建议。
Taking 400 low grade non-English majors as subjects, this paper investigates the relationships between breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge and listening comprehension score, short conversation score, long conversation score, passage score, dictation score by Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis. It is found that the breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge are significantly correlated with listening comprehension and each question item in the listening. The breadth of vocabulary knowledge and the depth of vocabulary knowledge account for 12.0% and 23.7% variance of listening comprehension. The breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge can account for different variance of each part of listening comprehension respectively. Some suggestions for listening teaching are provided by the end of the paper.
