摘要
汉英文化的比较研究一直是近些年讨论的热点话题。在众多的汉英文化比较研究中,姓名比较是一个不可忽视的研究方面,因为姓名是文化的重要载体之一,但多数研究注重对比汉英姓名的差异。文章在理论和实例的基础上,从汉英姓名的相同方面透视出姓名尽管是各民族的历史文化、风俗习惯和价值取向等的载体,但由于人类社会发展过程的相似性,汉英姓名在诸多方面表现出惊人的相似性。不同的文化背景下的汉英姓名的相同之处归根到底是文化的相似之处。
The comparative study of Chinese and English culture has always been the hot discussion in recent years. Among the massive comparative studies, name comparison is one of the significant aspects since name is the important carrier of culture. However, most studies cast their focus on the differences between Chinese and English names. On the basis f the abundant examples and relative theories, the paper tries to list the similarities of Chinese and English names in order to prove that the incredible similarities between them result from the cultural similarity and the similarity of the human and social progression despite they are the carriers of different histories, customs and values.
