摘要
在湖南近代化的历史进程中,近代民办教育的出现有着极其深刻的历史背景:近代社会政治格局的剧变,呼唤着新式教育的到来,湖南早期资本主义经济的兴起为近代民办教育在湖南的出现提供了舞台。新的社会群体的出现和各类教育思潮在湖南的传播为湖南近代民办教育的兴起准备了人力资源和舆论基础。而湖南悠久的私学传统和湖湘文化中源远流长的尊师重教精神又为湖南近代民办教育的出现提供了良好的社会氛围。
In the historical process of modernization in Hunan province,the emergence of non-government funded education has a profound historical background.The revulsion of social politics situation in modern times called for the coming of new-type education.The rising of capitalistic economy in Hunan offered a platform for the appearance of non-government funded education.The emergence of new social groups and the widespread of all trends of thought of education set up a foundation of human resource and public opinions.Further more,the time-honored tradition of private schools and the long-standing spirit of respecting teachers and teaching in Hunan culture also provided a good social environment for its emergence.
