Objective To investigate the clinical value of ultrasound guided minimally invasive treatment in the treatment of renal abscess. Methods From September 2009 to September 2015, 32 cases of patients with definite diagnosis of renal abscess in our hospital were divided into experimental group and control group, with 16 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with 8F pig tail drainage catheter group with ultrasound guided percutaneous catheter drainage minimally invasive treatment, while the control group was treated with conventional decompression under laparoscopy. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time, drainage time and hospitalization time in the experimental group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the complications and recurrence rates of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P〈0.05). However, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the cure rate and mortality rate (P〉0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound guided minimally invasive treatment of renal abscess can maximize shorten hospitalization time, alleviate the suffering of patients, reduce the postoperative incidence of complications and reduce the economic burden of the patients. The surgical operation is simple, safe, with less pain, postoperative recovery quicker, which is one of effective methods for clinical treatment of renal abscess, and is worthy of application and popularization.
