摘要
传真技术经过真迹传真和图片传真两个阶段的发展,在20世纪30年代臻于成熟,同时受制于终端设备的复杂性和使用的经济性,并面临来自电报、广播和电视等技术的激烈竞争。研究认为,新技术的发展不仅取决于技术本身的进步,还涉及诸多的外部因素,政府引导、标准制定和强力推广等经验对于现代技术革新应用具有启示。
Fax technology has experienced two stages which are document fax and photograph fax, and matured in 1930s. Its development has been greatly restricted due to complexity of terminal equipment, economic of use, and fierce competition from the telegraph, radio and television. It is proposed that the development of new technology not only depends on the progress of itself, but also involves many external determinants. The experience of government guidance, standard setting, and strong promotion is a revelation to the application of modern technological innovation.
