摘要
WRAP53β蛋白是WD40重复蛋白家族的重要成员,能控制端粒酶、DNA修复蛋白和剪接因子在细胞内转运,参与卡哈尔体形成、端粒稳定和端粒延伸。目前研究表明WRAP53β功能异常与早衰、肿瘤、神经退行性疾病等密切相关,可能成为疾病治疗的一个新靶点。现就WRAP53β在细胞内多方面的分子功能及其与疾病关系的研究进展进行综述。
The WRAP53β protein, an important member of the WD40 protein family, controls intracellular trafficking of telomerase, DNA repair proteins and the splicing factors, and is also involved in the formation of Cajal body, telomere stability and elongation. Dysfunction of this protein has been associated with prema- ture aging, cancer and neurodegeneration, and this suggests that WRAP53β will be a potential molecular tar- get in treatment of diseases. Here, the muhifaceted molecular functions of WRAP53β and its research progress in diseases were reviewed.
