摘要
文章尝试在一个历史的视角下对"设计研究"加以审视,将其视作建筑学的第三种实践范式。在20世纪从原理到研究的范式转换过程中,设计研究也经历了从科学化到对设计作为"棘手问题"的重新认识。文章认为当代的建筑教育需要将设计理解为一种以整合性、不确定性和创造性为特征的思考形式和论证过程。同时,研究作为一种强有力的、实验性的和系统化的工作方式使设计产生累积性的认识成果。只有回归设计作为一种实践性的人文艺术,才能在设计与研究之间建立面向未来的联系。
This paper examines design research from a historical perspective and understands it as the third paradigm of architecture-as-praxis.In the 20 th century,during the paradigm shift in architecture from "Principle" to "Research",design research has also changed from the scientification of the discipline to the re-understanding of the ’tricky problems’.This paper argues that contemporary architectural education should understand design as a form of thinking and a process of argumentation that are characterized by integration,indeterminacy and creativity.On the other hand,research provides rigorous,experimental,and systematic ways of working that direct design towards the accumulation of knowledge.Only by retuning to design as a practical liberal art can we build up a future-facing relationship between design and research.
