The storage system of the hybrid and electric vehicles （ new energy vehicles） must be taken thermal over-load protection. Therefore, the fuse combining with the relay has to be used in the electrical interface circuit with the power battery in order to block the current while the car has stalled or broken down. This paper introduces the performance and the design scheme of the high voltage relay （HGS15X）, which is designed for these new energy vehicles.
