摘要
句法歧义是所有语言都有的现象 ,指句子的各组成部分可以有不同的组合方式而产生的歧义。空语类、修饰关系不明、量化词提升、省略不当、并列成份等常引起英语句法歧义。分析和研究英语句法歧义能给教学、交际、翻译等带来很大的帮助。
Syntactic ambiguity is a phenomenon found in all languages. It refers to the ambiguity caused by different ways of combination of the constituents in the sentence. English syntactic ambiguity is caused by empty category PRO, unspecified head-modified relation, quantifier raising, improper ellipsis and combinatory coordination. It can be a great help in teaching, communication and translation for us to analyse and study English syntactic ambiguity.
