摘要
百日草(Zinnia elegans Jacq.)属菊科,为一年生草本,于20世纪20年代从美国和日本引种我国。其因花期长、颜色艳丽等优良园艺特性而成为园林绿化常用花卉。自然条件下,多种病原可侵染百日草,导致其观赏价值下降。近年在陕西杨凌发现百日草表现典型的花叶症状,查阅文献发现该花叶病可能与病毒侵染有关。例如,1975年以色列报道,
Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) was detected by RT-PCR in mosaic Zinnia elegans, and the ratio of PCR-positive to negative samples was 83%. The new isolate of CMV was designated CMV- Z. elegans. The cp gene of CMV- Z. elegans was cloned and sequenced, showing the size of 657 bp and sharing the highest identity of 99.70% with both KC407999 (from China) and KC414925 (from Serbia). Phylogenetic analysis indicated that CMV- Z. elegans belongs to CMV subgroup Ⅱ. The virus was mechanically inoculated on to differential host plants including Nicotiana benthamiana, N. occidentalis and Chenopodium amaranticolor, eliciting typical symptoms on these plants. CMV- Z. elegans could cause severe symptoms on Z. elegans plants and decrease ornamental value, thus deserving special attention with respect to their impact on the Z. elegans cultivation. This was the first report of CMV infecting Z. elegans in China.
