摘要
"雅典学派"思想是西方教学思想的发轫。而在中国教育史上,书院的教学思想在私学教育方面发挥了重要的作用。通过对这两种教学思想体系进行对比研究,发现二者均提倡启发式教学、因材施教、独立思考,以及培养学生批判性思维和自主学习能力,强调民主、平等、和谐的师生关系,等等。在大力推进高校教育改革的背景下,这些优秀的教学思想具有积极的理论和实践意义。
"Athenian School", in a sense, can he regarded as the fountainhead of Western pedagogy; while in feudal China, the Ancient Academies, owing to its unique characteristics, well supplemented its counterpart, the state-run education. This paper compares and contrasts the similarities and differences between the two pedagogical ideologies. Hopefully, the findings can shed some lights into the Chinese contemporary educational reform.
