The paper introduces a belt storing device with a storage capacity of 600 -800 m, which is mainly applied in long-distance tunneling belt conveyor requiring constant extension. The paper gives details on the overall layout of the device, structural design of parts, usage methods and control requirements. The device can reduce the number of joints used for extending the belt of long-distance tunneling belt conveyors, improve the efficiency of slag handling and shorten the construetion period of tunnels.
