摘要
目的:对比和分析中美新闻媒体报道中医药采用的评价策略和评价取向。方法:收集2016年巴西里约奥运会期间,中美两国英语主流新闻媒体对拔罐疗法的25篇报道,人工标注语篇中的评价意义成分,通过语料库分析软件,对报道文本进行深入解读。结果:中美新闻媒体都将拔罐疗效的价值评价,民众对于拔罐疗法的情感认同作为报道的重点,而对于治疗对象和实施主体的判断评价较少。美国新闻媒体评价侧重于患者的直观感受和体验,而中国新闻媒体将重心放在评价拔罐治疗的效果上。结论:中美新闻媒体报道的评价策略差异,体现了不同的认知体系和话语模式。
Objective： To contrast and analyze the appraisal system in Chinese and American news reports on Traditional Chinese medicine. Methods： The 25 news reports on cupping therapy at Rio 2016 Olympic Games were collected from American and Chinese newspapers. The discourses were mannually tagged for their attitudi- nal elements and analyzed by corpus software. Results： Both Chinese and American news media focus on the appreciation of the effectiveness of cupping therapy and the affect that people hold about the treatment, whereas there is little judgment on patients and practitioners. While American media elaborate on the experience and feeling of the patients, Chinese media emphasize the effectiveness of the therapy. Conclusion： The discrepancies in appraisal system of Chinese and American media mirror the differences in their cognitive system and dis- course pattern.
