摘要
社交网络良好的用户参与性与互动性使其成为语言学习的潜在有效平台。依据建构主义学习观,从社交网络的特点出发,以QQ为实验平台,通过定量定性分析相结合的方法,初步探讨了社交网络对批判式语言学习的影响,尤其是在身份构建、学生赋权、学习自主性、批判性阅读4个方面。研究发现,以QQ为代表的社交网络为平台进行英语学习不仅能促进英语学习效果,还有助于学习者构建英语环境下的自我身份,提高目的语使用意愿;促进权力关系的重新分配,增强学生赋权;任务的真实性、师生角色的转变等特征促进了自上而下的自主学习;多模态文本的解读、对学习形式的反思等增强了批判性素养。
Social Networking Sites (SNS) are promising language learning platforms because of the user-participation, user- generation and interaction.Based on constructivism, this paper views SNS broadly through the lens of Critical Language Learning (CLL) and look at specific issues of identity formation, student empowerment, learner autonomy, and critical reading as they relate to the use of SNSs.It reports the results of an initial project to make use of QQ for Chinese learners of English, and finds that SNS facilitates identity formation and enhances learners'willingness to use English, helps redistributing the power relationship between students and teachers, which enforces student empowerment, promotes top-down autonomy, and advances the critical literacy due to the interpretation of the multi-modality of the texts and reflection on the study approach.
